SM Makati Chapel

About Us

Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Chapel

A chapel in the heart of Makati, created to bring prayer, the Eucharist, and quiet spiritual refuge closer to people in the midst of daily city life.

Overview

A Chapel Within Reach

Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Chapel opened on December 8, 2022, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, welcoming the faithful to a new place of worship inside SM Makati.

Situated on the 3rd floor of SM Makati near the MRT exits, the chapel was established in a location that is especially accessible to commuters, workers, shoppers, and families passing through the city each day.

As a chapel of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila, it offers a prayerful space where people can pause, attend Mass, and remain close to the life of the Church even within a busy urban setting.

Mission / Spiritual Focus

Prayer in the Midst of the City

The chapel’s pastoral character is shaped by its mission-station setting: to make the sacraments and the life of prayer more present and more reachable for people in the ordinary flow of work, travel, and family life.

Its spiritual focus can be understood as one of accessibility, Marian devotion, Eucharistic life, and daily accompaniment for the faithful who seek a place of recollection in Makati.

Our Mission Station Priest

Fr. Reginald Malicdem

Rev. Fr. Reginald Malicdem, more affectionately known as Fr. Regie, presided over the first celebration of the Holy Eucharist during the opening of the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary SM Makati Chapel, marking the beginning of its liturgical and pastoral mission within the community.

Prior to this assignment, he served as the Rector of The Manila Cathedral. He currently serves as the Vicar General and Moderator Curiae of the Archdiocese of Manila, carrying significant responsibilities in the pastoral administration and governance of the Archdiocese.

He was subsequently entrusted with the pastoral care of both the Mary Mother of Hope Landmark Chapel and the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary SM Makati Chapel as its Mission Station Priest. Through his leadership and pastoral guidance, Fr. Regie continues to strengthen the chapels’connection to the wider mission of the Archdiocese, fostering communities of prayer, devotion, and sacramental life within the unique environment of a commercial and commuter-centered setting.
